Hi all of you amazing people!

I wanted to start by saying THANK YOU! I woke up this morning feeling so stupidly grateful for all of you! And extra grateful for the ones who took their time to answer the poll in my latest email as well as subscribed to my YarnChitect newsletter!

I thought that I would get a lot of NO answers on that poll, imagine my surprise when there was only two Absolutely not answers and two for the No, but i know someone answer and 88% voted HECK YES! and the others on maybe! I am beyond amazed that it looks like i might not be alone in my struggles as a neurospicy maker, and I say maker instead of crocheter, because lets be honest the urge to try all the hobbies in the world is a real thing and should probably have it’s own diagnosis. Getting of topic here!

If you want to see where the YarnChitect venture will go - You can read more here!

If you don’t know about the last newsletter maybe you also missed my new bag pattern?

I am going to be so honest and transparent from here on out, that some might want to unsubscribe, but that’s okay. I am not every ones cup of tea. If you want to unsubscribe, please do so before you download my gift at the end! 😉

What I wanted to tell you is not only thank you, but to let you know that the rest of this year will be a journey for me. Firstly for this blog (which I will NEVER abandon no matter how shiny new things (business ideas) look), because I have so much love and appreciation for my swecraftcorner blog and all of you subscribers and readers. This blog needs a solid and clear strategy, I know this because I asked an AI. 😁 I am currently jumping between…. Okay, so I got distracted and spiraled into other tasks and pages, ending in me looking at dogs on google (facepalm) and of course now I don’t remember what I was thinking of explaining with the “jumping between” part.

Ah, now I remember! (3 hours later)

I was going to tell you that I have been jumping between giving all of my work away for free in the form of blogposts or digital pdfs to download and rely on ads to support my family. Or to sell my patterns only on platforms like Etsy or setting up a payhip or shopify store. And every time I decide on a strategy for swecraftcorner I second guess myself! If you read my last newsletter, you know that I have ADHD and that I would like to explore ways of incorporating this in my business, the idea is a second newsletter for makers like me, basically starting a branch of swecraftcorner for my ADHD side, but then I realized that maybe people with a neurotypical brain would also like to benefit from the second side of my business!

So right now I am deciding between two sets of strategies for my business and in order to decide I would like your input, because outside of my family and friends, YOU, are the most important person to me! So, please read the 2 strategies below and let me know what you think.

Option 1: I start a Premium membership site and have all of my PDF’s there for members to download. Along with exclusive open pattern testing, weekly or bi-weekly newsletters that are not just a, “Hey look what I have made and how awesome and successful I am” type of newsletter, but where i share my struggles with my ADHD, how I manage my business and how that is going, all of my best hacks and favorite stitches and what I have found around the world wide web that I think you could enjoy as well (e.g. new free patterns, exciting yarn drops etc.) basically making a digital magazine delivered straight to you inbox every week. A place where you can interact and help shape the content you receive. And of course there will be new Premium PDF’s added along with other digital resources available to members.

Option 2. Creating digital planners and printables to sell in my etsy shop, offering my new patterns in my etsy shop and only offer some easier/smaller patterns free to download. Staying with earlier strategy of only sending newsletters to show what I have made and where you could get it. Keeping the personal (ADHD related) to a minimum.

I think the best option is:

Login or Subscribe to participate

If you picked option 1 (or just want to give your opinion anyway) please help me decide on a price for a membership containing:

  • Access to members only library for digital downloads.

  • A weekly or bi-weekly magazine styled email (Like a smaller version of a crochet magazine) with articles, tips and patterns.

  • Each newsletter (email-magazine) containing at least 2 of the following: a new pattern, printables, cheat sheets and guides, planners, trackers and organizers.

  • Exclusive giveaways and patterns that will only be available to members.

  • And all the other stuff my ADHD brain can conjure up!

What would the value be to you?

Which monthly subscription price would make you feel you got value for your money without making you feel like you can't afford it?

If you are still around after my babbling above and took the time to answer any of the two polls above. Feel free to claim my show of appreciation at the end! 😁
